Paisa
Split bills, track expenses, settle up
Live at paisa.scriptixlabs.com.
Shared-expense tracking that holds up on a bad connection and across currencies. Groups, splits, debt simplification, budgets, and reports — offline-first.
Splitting money with other people is a genuinely hard data problem dressed up as a simple app. Four people, three currencies, one person who paid for two others, and a running balance nobody agrees on. Most apps handle the happy path and fall apart on the rest.
Paisa models it properly. Expenses belong to workspaces and groups. Splits can be equal, exact, percentage, or by share. Settlements run through debt simplification, so a tangle of mutual IOUs collapses into the fewest possible transfers. Multi-currency is first-class rather than bolted on, and collections let one person chase a shared bill without a spreadsheet.
It is built offline-first as a PWA: log an expense standing at the till with no signal, and it reconciles when you reconnect. Changes propagate in realtime to everyone else in the group. On top of the ledger sit budgets, reports, and notifications.
