Manifest V3 extensions for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox — built to survive store review, including the permission justifications.
Extensions look small and are not. Manifest V3 removed the persistent background page, so state has to survive a service worker being killed at any moment. Content scripts have to be defensive about pages they do not control. And every permission you request is something a reviewer will ask you to justify in writing.
We have shipped the same extension to all three stores, which each have different review cultures and different failure modes. Offline queueing, cross-origin sync, idle detection, a live toolbar badge, and multi-account switching are all things we have built and had approved.
